ME: Woman found in Dolton motel was beaten to death

A female found dead Wednesday at a Dolton motel was beaten to death, but her identity remained unknown as of Thursday afternoon.
Officers responded at 11:14 a.m. to the Best Motel and Suites in the 1300 block of East Sibley Boulevard and found a female with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the head, Dolton police spokeswoman TaQuoya Kennedy said.
An autopsy by the Cook County medical examiner’s office determined the girl, believed to be 15 to 18, died from blunt head trauma from an assault, and her death was ruled a homicide.
