Eddie Money, Survivor ready to rock Lockport LogJam

LOCKPORT — Eddie Money, Survivor and the Manzarek-Rogers Band, featuring a co-founder of The Doors, will perform next week at the LogJam rock fest.
The three-day event will be Aug. 2 to 4 at the grounds of Homer Tree Service, 14000 Archer Ave. in Lockport. Each day will feature at least two bands performing before the headliner.
Tickets are $10 each night. Kids ages 8 and younger accompanied by an adult will be admitted free. The festival includes a children’s carnival and food vendors.
Aug. 2: Eddie Money is the headliner, taking the stage at 9 p.m. Gates open at 5 p.m., with The Last Envy kicking things off; and Blackened, the Ultimate Metallica Tribute, playing at 7 p.m.
Aug. 3: Survivor is the headliner, taking the stage at 9 p.m. Gates open at 5 p.m., with a show by Under D Influence; and Hessler performing at 7 p.m.
Aug. 4: The Manzarek-Rogers Band is the headliner, taking the stage at 9 p.m. Ray Manzarek grew up on the South Side of Chicago and graduated from St. Rita High School in 1956. Manzarek and Jim Morrison founded The Doors in 1965 in California, and the rest is rock ’n’ roll history.
Gates open at 1 p.m. Aug. 4 at LogJam. From 1 to 5 p.m., everyone will be admitted free for Saturday Family Day.
Also performing on Aug. 4 will be Lehman’s Demons at 3 p.m., Danny Fox with a Bob Dylan Tribute at 4:30 p.m., and Comfortably Floyd ay 7 p.m.
Homer Tree Service has created a log background for the live-music setting, adding to the LogJam theme, said Mary Kay Campbell, executive director of the Lockport Chamber of Commerce.
The chamber strives to bring businesses together — and also strives to bring the community to the businesses with special events like LogJam, Old Canal Days and the Community Expo, Campbell said.
LogJam sponsors include Homer Tree Service and Citgo.
