Jim Schick, of St. Laurence, is this week’s Beggars Pizza/SouthtownStar Boys Basketball Player of the Week.
During the Vikings’ past five games, Schick scored 121 points, good for a 24.2 points-per-game average, and 43 rebounds, for an 8.6 average. In a win over Eisenhower, Schick scored 50 points, converting 22-of-23 free throws. For the season, he’s averaging 19 points and 9 rebounds per game.
