Five people were hurt when five vehicles crashed in icy conditions Sunday afternoon near Lansing.
The crash, near the interchange of Interstate 80 and Route 394, happened sometime after 5 p.m., according to an Illinois State Police District Chicago trooper.
Five people from the five-car crash were hurt, though none suffered any life-threatening injuries, the trooper said. Hospital information was not immediately available.
The crash has been cleared and salt trucks have visited the site of the wreck, on a day when freezing rain turned area roadways into sheets of ice.
State Police continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
