Eleven businesses in Tinley Park received glowing reviews from health inspection in the past year.
Bob Zamzow, the village’s health and consumer protection officer, inspects each business that sells food four times a year.
On Tuesday night, at the village board meeting, he presented plaques to the owners of the 11 businesses that received grades of 100 percent on at least three of those four inspections.
Those honored were: 4K’s Asian Mart, 9416 W. 179th St.; 7-Eleven, 16658 S. Oak Park Ave.; Aldi’s, 16150 S. Harlem Ave.; Arby’s, 17900 S. La Grange Road; Creative Cakes, 16649 S. Oak Park Ave., Unit F; Greco’s Nuts & Candy, 7950 W. 167th St.; Isabella’s Restaurant, 17211 S. Oak Park Ave.; Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria, 9501 W. 171st St.; McDonald’s, 15900 S. Harlem Ave.; Rubino’s, 16635 S. Oak Park Ave.; and Subway, 17217 S. Oak Park Ave.
Mayor Ed Zabrocki joked that owners “get scared” when they see Zamzow walk through the front door.
