Here are events worth getting out of the house for on Feb. 22.

Suggestions include Orland Park, Palos Hills, Blue Island and Chicago’s Beverly community.

BLOOD DRIVE: Heartland Blood Centers’ blood donation drive will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 22 at Orland Township, 14807 S. Ravinia Ave., Orland Park. Donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in general good health. Information: (800) 786-4483.

FAMILY MOVIE: Green Hills Public Library, 8611 W. 103rd St., Palos Hills, will screen the animated film “Puss in Boots” at 4 p.m. Feb. 22. Information: (708) 598-8446.

BLACK CULTURE: Neighborhood Watch Group 37 and the Blue Island Public Library hosts the DuSable Museum of African American Culture and the Tuskegee Airmen for Black Culture Nite at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 22 at Blue Island City Hall East Annex, 2434 Vermont St. Information: (708) 396-3111.

PROFILES THEATRE: “After,” which was written by Chad Beckim, will be staged at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 22 at Beverly Arts Center, 2407 W. 111th St., Chicago. The play contains mature language. Tickets are $26. Information: (773) 445-3838.
