Here are events worth getting out of the house for on March 7.

ANDREW JACKSON: Tinley Moraine Genealogists meet at Tinley Park Public Library, 7851 Timber Drive, (708) 532-0160. Actor Terry Lynch, of Orland Park-based HFK Presents, will perform “Andrew Jackson: The Story of Ol’ Hickory.” Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. with the business meeting beginning at 6:45 p.m. Members of the group live in more than 20 different communities, ranging north to Brookfield and LaGrange; west to Naperville; south to Mokena and Frankfort; and east to Indiana. ‘INNOVATION GENERATION’: Governors State University’s Center for Performing Arts, 1 University Parkway, University Park, will host “So You Think You Can Innovate?” with Dr. Roberta Ness at 7 p.m. The internationally renown physician and scientist and author of “Innovation Generation: How to Produce Creative and Useful Scientific Ideas” (Oxford University Press) will teach attendees how to put aside habitual ways of navigating the everyday world to uncover new possibilities.
