MARY LINCOLN: Lincoln-Davis Civil War Round Table will present reenactor Maria Bakalis in “Mary Lincoln: After the Assassination” at 7 p.m. at the Country House Restaurant, 5400 W. 127th St., Alsip. AMERICAN BEAUTY: Orland Park Public Library, 14921 Ravinia Ave., will present this program at 7 p.m. Historian Leslie Goddard will take attendees through more than a century of magazine ads, patent illustrations and artifacts for a nostalgic look at the beauty industry and an exploration of beauty’s cultural meanings.
