Two caught in north Texas for Frankfort Square kidnapping

Two fugitives who allegedly kidnapped a woman this month from the driveway of her Frankfort Square home were arrested Wednesday in Texas, Will County sheriff’s police said.
Deputy Police Chief Ken Kaupas said Dorian Yamini, 23, and Aaron Anderson, 20, were taken into custody after a car chase through Sulfur Springs, a city of about 15,000 northeast of Dallas.
A third man, Chavell Anderson, 21, of Hazel Crest, turned himself in to police three days after the March 4 incident and is charged with armed robbery. The Andersons are not related, police said.
Kaupas said Sulfur Springs police recovered a gun from the car used by Aaron Anderson and Yamini, and the gun will be compared to the one used by the kidnappers. Two computer tablets were also recovered, he said.
The Will County state’s attorney’s office has contacted authorities in Hopkins County, Texas, and plan to extradite the men to Illinois, Kaupas said.
The men are accused of abducting a 70-year-old woman who had pulled into her driveway in the 8200 block of Chestnut Drive and was called over by the three men, who were in a car two driveways down, sheriff’s police said. They said one of the men in the car pulled a gun and ordered the woman into the back seat while another man took her car keys.
The kidnappers drove around for about an hour, trying to use the victim’s ATM card, before letting her out near a gas station in Country Club Hills, according to police. They said that a short time later, surveillance video showed the three men using her credit card to buy computer tablets at the Wal-Mart in Crestwood.
The three men were identified after video footage from the store was released to the media and arrest warrants were issued for them.
Aaron Anderson, of Richton Park, is awaiting sentencing for a July 2011 robbery in which he and another man approached a customer at an ATM in Frankfort and forced him to withdraw all his money at gunpoint.
