Here are events worth getting out of the house for on March 26.

INTRODUCTION TO THE IPAD: Orland Park Public Library will present this class for adults at 3 p.m. at 14921 Ravinia Ave. Attendees, who should bring their iPads, will learn how to customize the device, organize apps, restrict access to one’s iPad with a passcode and improve battery life. INTERNET SECURITY: Crete Public Library will present this technology class for ages 14 and older at 5 p.m. at 1177 Main St. This seminar will feature easy and practical steps to keep one’s information safe on the Internet. Registration is required at (708) 672-8017 or cretelibrary.org.

ANTIQUE APPRAISAL: Palos Park Public Library, 12330 Forest Glen Blvd., presents this event with Rex Newell at 7 p.m. The antiques dealer will discuss current trends in the antiques market.
