Here are events worth getting out of the house for on April 3.

Suggestions include Palos Hills, Orland Park and Homewood.

TASTE OF MORAINE VALLEY: Attendees can sample ethnic cuisine from 10 countries at Moraine Valley Community College’s eighth annual event between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. The Taste will be in the Moraine Rooms, Building M, on campus, 9000 W. College Parkway, Palos Hills. Food tickets cost 75 cents each or 10 for $5. Food items cost one or two tickets. Information: (708) 974-5475, morainevalley.edu.

HOOKS & NEEDLES: Orland Park Public Library, 14921 Ravinia Ave., will present this opportunity to tackle an unfinished needlework project at 7 p.m. Attendees can enjoy the companionship of other needlework patrons. Information: (708) 428-5100, orlandparklibrary.org.
