Blackhawks champ Patrick Kane took to the streets of New York City on Wednesday to hoist the Stanley Cup once again.

Appearing during a segment of the “Late Show with David Letterman,” the MVP held up the trophy, as the Late Show Hose Cam — attached to a street light — poured a whole lot of water all over him outside the Broadway Street studio.

Soon after his visit, Kane took to Twitter to share pictures and details of his rainy visit: “Fun trip to NYC today to tape with @LateShow. I forgot to pack my umbrella in with the Stanley Cup tho haha,” Kane tweeted.

Kane also sat down with Letterman, a big-time NHL fan, to talk hockey, with both the Cup and the Conn Smythe Trophy in full view.

Kane and the Cup went straight from the taping to the airport, heading back to Chicago, according to Stanley Cup keeper Howard Burrow. He said it was uncertain whether the Cup would appear at more Chicago night spots Wednesday night.
