CSI @ FLOSSMOOR LIBRARY: This program for sixth- to 12th-graders will be at 2:30 p.m. at Flossmoor Public Library, 1000 Sterling Ave. Steve Banasiak, a forensic instructor from Homewood-Flossmoor High School, will give a hands-on presentation on how detectives use forensic science to solve crimes. FARMERS MARKET: Cook County School District 130 hosts its annual farmers market from 3 to 7 p.m. Mondays to Oct. 7 in the parking lot of Beggars Pizza, 12660 Western Ave., Blue Island. Vendors will sell items including homemade tamales and handpicked fruits and vegetables.
