Everest College names president

Chicago resident Maegan Murphy has been named president of Everest College’s Merrionette Park location, 11560 S. Kedzie Ave. She was previously with Kaplan Higher Education, where she served as executive director of product operations, Everest said. Murphy has a bachelor’s degree from Eastern Illinois University.

Charter expanding Orland location

Charter Fitness said it is completing a 3,500-square-foot expansion of its Orland Park center, 15601 S. 94th Ave. The expansion will include a larger free-weight area and new equipment, including strength-training machines.

Orland Park-based Charter Fitness recently converted 38 Cardinal Fitness centers in Illinois and Indiana to Charter locations.

Seaway Bank announces promotions

Seaway Bank and Trust Co. said it has promoted Denise Weaver to the position of senior vice president/operations officer, responsible for daily operations activities at all branch locations. She has been with Seaway since 1988.

The bank also said it has promoted Arlene Williams to senior executive vice president/lending officer She has been with the bank since 1989.
