Orland Park-based advertising agency Esrock Partners said Wednesday that Kevin Wilson has been appointed president.
The company, which specializes in food and food service advertising and marketing campaigns, said that its founder, Jack Coughlin, will retain his duties as chief executive officer. Officials said the move represents the first major shift in leadership since the agency was founded in 1978.
“With a successful 33 years behind us and an expanding business outlook for 2012 and beyond, the timing is right for new, young, dynamic leadership,” Coughlin said in a news release.
Esrock said Wilson joined the company 11 years ago and has worked as the agency’s lead strategist on accounts including Kellogg’s, McCain Foods and Tyson.
A spokesman for Esrock said that Coughlin is handing over much of the day-to-day running of the business to the new president but will continue to have a hand in many functions, such as recruitment. Wilson will be responsible for managing Esrock’s accounts and developing new business for the agency.
