Southland Job Hunters set meeting

The Chicago Southland Job Hunters Network will meet from 9:30 to 11:15 a.m. Feb. 7 at Bootsma Bookstore Cafe, 6513 W. 123rd St., Palos Heights, on the campus of Trinity Christian College.

There is a $5 fee to attend. Donna Mazalin, owner of Oak Forest-based human resources consulting firm Sundance Group Inc., established the group in 2008 to aid local job-seekers.

Social Media Summit at visitors bureau

The Chicago Southland Convention and Visitors Bureau will host a Social Media Summit Feb. 23 at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Alsip, 5000 W. 127th St.

Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and the summit begins at 8:15 a.m. and concludes at 4:30 p.m. The event is aimed at businesses that want to generate leads and sales using social media.

The cost is $95 for reservations made by $95, and $110 for reservations received after that date.
