Halo effect for Orland Park salesman

Orland Park resident Joe McCorry was recently lauded by Halo Branded Solutions, a promotional products distributor, for sales achievements.

McCorry received the company’s MVP Award for consecutive years of company-leading sales growth and was inducted into the company’s Gold Club, whose members comprise the top 10 percent of Halo’s 800-member sales force.

McCorry is a member of the Orland Park Area Chamber of Commerce and past president of the Rotary Club of Orland Park.

Free small-business counseling in TP

Small-business counselors from SCORE will offer free counseling sessions from 9 a.m. to noon Feb. 15 at the offices of the Tinley Park Chamber of Commerce, 17316 S. Oak Park Ave. Counseling is available by appointment only and can be scheduled by calling (708) 532-5700.

Bank donates to Bloom food pantry

Old Second Bank recently donated $500 to the Bloom Township Center food pantry. The bank raised money last November by donating to local food pantries for every customer that signed up for “eStatements.” The food pantry was established in 1998.
