Orland Park-based entrepreneur Bryan Nooner was lauded for his product, Twist and Seal, at the recent National Hardware Show in Las Vegas.
Twist and Seal — which protects outdoor electrical cords from the elements — competed against 50 products for the New Product Launch Spotlight Award’s Most Innovative New Product category, receiving a silver award from a paqnel of eight judges.
Nooner, who lives in Mokena and has his home remodeling business in Orland Park, was able to capture the attention of major retailers at the show that are planning to carry the product. Twist and Seal is also available online at www.twistandseal.com.
St. James hospitals accredited by society
Franciscan St. James Health said its Chicago Heights and Olympia Fields campuses have received accreditation from the Society of Chest Pain Centers, meaning the hospitals have achieved a higher level of expertise in treating patients who arrive experiencing symptoms of a heart attack.
To become accredited, the hospitals underwent a rigorous evaluation by the SCPC for their ability to assess, diagnose and treat patients who may be experiencing a heart attack, Franciscan St. James said.
