Party at Tinley shopping center

Century Plaza, at the northwest corner of 179th Street and 94th Avenue in Tinley Park, will hold a block party from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
There will games, prizes, refreshments and specials offered by businesses in the shopping center. Century Plaza is north of the Moraine Valley Community College Southwest Center.
College to host workshop in Oak Forest
The Business & Career Institute of South Suburban College will host a workshop titled “Get More Referrals Now!,” facilitated by Jim Thompson, senior vice president of Midwest Consulting Group, from 8:30 to 10 a.m. June 12 at the college’s University & College Center, 16333 S. Kilbourn Ave., Oak Forest.
The cost is $15 per person, or $10 if three or more people from the same company attend.

Sara Lee picks Hillshire for split
Sara Lee Corp., which is splitting into two businesses later this month, says it is naming its North America company Hillshire Brands Co., which will house brands including Hillshire Farm, Jimmy Dean and Ball Park as well as frozen desserts and other bakery products.
