Updated: July 16, 2012 6:20AM

Jewel-Osco will open its brand-new Palos Heights store to the public at 6 a.m. June 28, the company said in a news release.

The store, at 12803 S. Harlem Ave., is directly behind the existing Jewel-Osco, which it will replace. The new store is larger and will offer products and services not available at the old store, including soup, wing and olive bars; a cheese shop; and organic produce, the company said. The store also will have self-checkout terminals and expanded pharmacy services, it said.

Store hours at that location are from 6 a.m. to midnight, seven days a week.
