Currie Motors plans Frankfort expansion

Updated: August 25, 2012 6:12AM

Currie Motors in Frankfort plans to expand its spaces for vehicles and service, having acquired two residential lots on 95th Avenue.

The Frankfort plan commission is to review the details at its Thursday meeting and make a recommendation to the village board.

The Ford dealer bought homes at 317 and 325 N. 95th Ave., where it plans to expand its parking lot for vehicle sales, south and west of its site at 9423 W. U.S. 30, village development director Jeff Cook said.

Two additions to the existing building will add more than 10,000 square feet to the service department, and the entire building will have facade improvements, Cook said.

“Their plan is to have their expansion work done when the Route 30 widening project is done,” he said.
