The Orland Park Area Chamber of Commerce will take part in a ribbon cutting at 8:45 a.m. Aug. 16 for Savers, a resale shop at 15625 S. 94th Ave., Orland Park.
The 28,000-square-foot store will occupy space in a strip shopping center that formerly housed Season’s End and Teachers Delight stores. Privately held, Savers has more than 280 thrift stores in the U.S., Canada and Australia. The for-profit retailer typically pays local charitable groups for clothing and household goods they collect, which are then resold in its stores.
