Moraine seeks employers for fair

Moraine Valley Community College is seeking employers for its fall Job and Internship Fair, which will take place from 2 to 5 p.m. Sept. 27 in the Moraine Business and Conference Center, 9000 W. College Parkway, Palos Hills.
The registration fee is $100 and includes lunch for two company representatives.

Workshops on starting a business
CenterPoint — the small-business development center at Governors State University — will host free workshops for people interested in starting a business. The workshops will focus on the personal, financial and legal aspects of starting a business, and participants will learn about resources available to assist new business owners.
Workshops will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Aug. 20 at Old Plank Trail Bank, 20901 S. LaGrange Road, Frankfort, from 9 to 11 a.m. Aug. 22 at the Tinley Park Village Hall, 16250 S. Oak Park Ave., and from 4 to 6 p.m. Aug. 28 at the Orland Township offfice center, 14807 S. Ravinia Ave., Orland Park.
