Marketing talk at Orland Chamber meet

Al Lautenslager, co-author of “Guerilla Marketing in 30 Days,” will be the speaker at the next Orland Park Area Chamber of Commerce meeting from 7:45 to 9 a.m. Oct. 23 at Silver Lake Country Club.
He’ll talk about how to advertise on a small marketing budget as well as the most important elements of a marketing plan. The cost is $14 for chamber members who register in advance, and $17 the day of the meeting and for nonmembers.

Women in Workforce conference at PSC
Prairie State College and the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity will host a Women in the Workforce conference at the college, 202 S. Halsted St., Chicago Heights.
The conference begins with registration at 9 a.m. and a keynote address at 10:10 a.m. The “Women of Excellence” awards will be presented at 12:45 p.m. The cost is $15 and includes a box lunch.
Other conference sponsors include the Chicago Heights Business Council and the Professional Women’s Network.
