Fairplay Foods will open to shoppers in Oak Lawn at 7 a.m. Sunday, an executive with the company said Thursday. A grand opening for the store, 8700 S. Cicero Ave., is planned for Oct. 18, Mike Kozlowski, vice president of Fairplay, said.
The 52,000-square-foot store will offer a full line of groceries, including meats, produce and international foods, as well as a liquor department offering beer, wine and hard liquor, Kozlowski said. The store will have 120 employees and will be open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week, he said.
Fairplay is located in a former Dominick’s that closed at the end of last year. The company currently operates six stores, including Hickory Hills, Markham and Worth.
