Joe Porrey, left, principal of Wilkins Junior High School, laughs with Christine Mancari, right, at Mancari's of Oak Lawn, after she presented him with a check at the auto dealership in Oak Lawn, IL, on Wednesday, December 5, 2012. The dealership, through a program called "Drive for the Kids," helped the financially strapped school by donating $10 for each person who test drove a Chrysler vehicle. There were about 150 people and the dealership kicked in another $500. | Matt Marton~Sun-Times Media

Mancari’s Chrysler Jeep Dodge in Oak Lawn took part in a Chrysler “Drive for the Kids” fundraiser that benefitted Wilkins Junior High School in Justice.
More than 150 parents at the school participated in a test-drive event, with $10 being contributed for each test drive.
The dealership brought a selection of vehicles to the school for parents to try out.
Because so many parents signed up, Chrysler added a bonus of $500 to the amount raised by the test drives, according to Ron Fries, project manager with Mancari’s.
