Land O’ Frost moving HQ

Packaged lunchmeat company Land O’ Frost Inc. said Monday it will relocate its headquarters from Lansing to Munster Ind., creating 50 new jobs by 2014.
The company said it will keep production in Lansing. Land O’ Frost said it will invest $6.4 million on the new 25,000-square-foot headquarters, with construction starting next summer. The company currently has 40 employees in Lansing. Along with Illinois, Land O’ Frost has production facilities in Arkansas, Kentucky and Nebraska.
Land O’ Frost said the Indiana Economic Development Corp. offered the company up to $750,000 in conditional tax credits based on the company’s job creation plans. Financial help will also come from the Northwest Indiana Regional Development Authority and Munster.
