Here is a look at top events you won’t want to miss.

Shedd Aquarium
Free general admission continues to Jan. 28 and on Jan. 30 and 31 at Shedd Aquarium, 1200 S. Lake Shore Drive, Chicago. Information: (312) 939-2438, sheddaquarium.org.
Weekend
Jan. 27’s Weekend magazine features Frankfort native Sally Murphy, of Steppenwolf Theatre Company’s “Time Stands Still.”
There also are movie reviews of “Albert Nobbs,” “The Artist” and “Haywire”; a preview of Illinois Theatre Center’s “Broke-ology”; and features with Evergreen Park’s Angela Weber Miller, who worked on First Folio Theatre’s “Unnecessary Farce,” and Palos Heights’ Andrea Collier, who stars in Drury Lane Theatre’s “Gypsy.”

The Entertainment section includes Carpe Weekend’s look at art including exhibits at Governors State University in University Park and Moraine Valley Community College in Palos Hills. The latter site features work from a Chicago Heights artist.
