Jose Valdes will perform June 20 as part of the 2012 Main Street Nights series in Park Forest.

After June 13’s opening show with Dave Rudolf at the Park Forest Aqua Center, the free 2012 Main Street Nights series will settle into its summer home.
“Join us for outdoor entertainment for the entire family under the stars, located at the downtown village green, Cunningham Boulevard and Main Street,” officials said. “The fun starts at 7 p.m.
“Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy outstanding artists from around the nation and our own back yard.”
Here’s a look at what’s scheduled:
JUNE 20: Top Hat The Magician and Jose Valdes & The Mambo All-Stars.
JUNE 27: Little Nashville and Denny Diamond.
JULY 11: Park Forest Idols and Muzicnet.
JULY 18: Rich East Drum line and Southland Jazz Ensemble.
JULY 25: Cold Blooded Creatures and Classical Blast.
AUG. 1: The Rope Warrior and Silk & Smooth.
AUG. 8: 1969 and a movie screening of “Disney’s The Muppets.”
