Steel retirees to meet
The Republic Steel Retirees will meet on Thursday at Steve’s Lounge, 13200 S. Baltimore Ave., Chicago.
The event will begin with a social hour at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. The cost is $15 for members and $18 for guests.

Army doctor to speak during Swallow Cliff meeting
The Swallow Cliff Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will meet at 1 p.m. Saturday at Palos Heights Public Library, 12501 S. 71st Ave.
Maj. Nancy Taft, who served as a surgical doctor in the Army Reserve in both Iraq and Afghanistan, will discuss her experiences with the medical team of doctors in both countries, as well as her current job dealing with women’s issues as medical director of the Comprehensive Breast Health Center at Little Company of Mary Hospital in Evergreen Park.

Senior center to host bazaar
The Rich Township Senior Center will host the Holiday Craft Bazaar and Bake Sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at 297 Liberty Drive, Park Forest.
The event will feature homemade craft items and baked goods for sale, as well as coffee and food.
