Here are events worth getting out of the house for on Feb. 21.

CHOCOLATE BINGO: St. James Manor and Villas, 1251 E. Richton Road, Crete, will host Chocolate Bingo at 2 p.m. in the campus chapel. The free event features back-to-back games on chocolate candy bar cards with edible chocolate bingo chips. Several game styles such as cover-all, four corners and crossing the board with an “x” will be played with chocolate prizes such as chocolate wine, chocolate coffee gift baskets, chocolate candy bars, chocolate candles and scented lotions. NEGRO LEAGUES BASEBALL: Bremen High School District 228’s Family Reading Night will feature Larry Lester, author, historian and co-founder of the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum. A limited number of his books will be available for purchase and signing. Light refreshments will be available.
