Here are events worth getting out of the house for on March 1.

FISH FRY: The Athletic Association will present a Lenten fish fry from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Fridays to March 22 at Parish of St. Joseph’s Father Sayers Hall, 17951 Dixie Highway, Homewood. The menu features all-you-can-eat Alaska pollack with curly fries, coleslaw, a roll and dessert. A catfish nugget dinner, a shrimp dinner, a spaghetti dinner, and mac-n-cheese also will be available. HAMFESTERS RADIO CLUB: The group’s monthly meeting will feature the annual white elephant sale at 7:30 p.m. at the Crestwood Civic Center, 14025 S. Kostner Ave. The sale will allow members and guests to sell or swap unwanted ham gear and electronics. Computers, electronics, ham equipment and other items also will be offered during the sale, which will begin before the business meeting and continue during the meeting break.
