3M BOOK CLUB: This Park Forest Public Library book club focuses on mysteries filled with twists, trapdoors and new whodunits monthly. March’s Murder Mystery Mayhem Book Club selection, Janet Evanovich’s “Wicked Business: A Lizzy and Diesel Novel” (Bantam), will be discussed at 11:30 a.m. at 400 Lakewood Blvd. Information: (708) 748-3731.
FRACKING FLUIDS: The Illinois Sierra Club’s Sauk-Calumet Group will conduct its monthly meeting at 7:15 p.m. at the Frankfort Public Library, 21119 Pfeiffer Road, (815) 469-2423. This month’s free program will feature Cindy Skrukrud, an Illinois Sierra Club clean water advocate who researched the controversial natural gas drilling method called hydraulic fracturing, or fracking. She will discuss the process and the risks of natural gas fracturing and will explain the Sierra Club’s concerns about regulating management of the fracking fluids.
