Get Up and Go! for March 13, 2013

Here are events worth getting out of the house for on March 13.

Suggestions include Richton Park, Tinley Park and Palos Heights.

LINKEDIN 101: Richton Park Public Library, 4045 Sauk Trail, will offer this session at 11 a.m. LinkedIn is billed as the world’s largest professional network. Registration is required at (708) 481-5333. Information: www.richtonparklibrary.org.

PARENT UNIVERSITY: Andrew High School, 9001 W. 171st St., Tinley Park, will host Parent University at 7 p.m. Breakout sessions will focus on topics including character development in teens, social networking, substance abuse, adjusting to college life, and support of special needs students. DENNIS FOLEY: The author of the Chicago memoir “The Drunkard’s Son” (Side Street Press) will be at Palos Heights Public Library, 12501 S. 71st Ave., at 7 p.m. for a book signing.
