BACinema
The weekly film series will continue at 7:30 p.m. March 27 with “The Oscar Nominated Short Films 2013: Live Action” at Beverly Arts Center, 2407 W. 111th St., Chicago.
Not rated, the screening runs for 1 hour and 28 minutes.
Tickets are $7.50, or $5.50 for center members.

Marian Madness
Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. March 23 for this annual Marian Catholic Athletic & Alumni Association fundraiser at Marian Catholic High School, 700 Ashland Ave., Chicago Heights.
Attendees can see NCAA games on four 60-inch, high-definition plasma screens and a 12-foot-by-12-foot jumbo screen.
Admission is $30 and includes food catered by Aurelio’s in Homewood and an open beer and wine bar.
The 21-and-older event also will feature a raffle with a $3,000 grand cash prize, games of chance and silent auction packages.

Weekend
March 22’s Weekend magazine will feature a preview of cellist Joshua Roman’s performance with the Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra in Frankfort.
There also will be movie reviews of “The Croods,” “Admission” and “The Call.”
