Here are events worth getting out of the house for on March 29.

Suggestions include Chicago Ridge, Flossmoor and Tinley Park.

“HOP” SCREENING: Chicago Ridge Public Library, 10400 Oxford Ave., will host this movie matinee for children at 1 p.m. Directed by Tim Hill, the 2011 animated family comedy features James Marsden, Elizabeth Perkins and the voice of Russell Brand. TEEN ADVISORY BOARD: Flossmoor Public Library, 1000 Sterling Ave., will present this meeting at 4 p.m. for sixth- to 12th-graders who want to be more involved with the library. Snacks will be provided. No registration is required. Information: (708) 798-3600, flossmoorlibrary.org.

FISH FRY: The Eiche Turners fish fry will be available from 6 to 8 p.m. at 16767 S. 80th Ave., Tinley Park. The menu will include baked orange roughy, fried orange roughy, fried shrimp, baked potato or fries, fresh salad, homemade desserts and chicken nuggets for the non-fish eaters.
