“GONE BABY GONE”: Oak Lawn Public Library, 9427 S. Raymond Ave., screens this film at 10 a.m. Starring Morgan Freeman, Ed Harris and Casey Affleck, the 2007 crime drama is based on “Gone, Baby, Gone” (Harper) by Dennis Lehane. Information: (708) 422-4990, www.lib.oak-lawn.il.us.

SHORT RUN ON A LONG DAY: The Frankfort Park District will host this 13th annual event at Main Park, 200 S. Locust St., Frankfort. Packet pickup and registration will be from 6 to 6:45 p.m., with the race starting at 7 p.m. The 5K/3.1-mile USA Track & Field-certified route goes through Old Plank Trail and historic Frankfort. DYNAMIC LEADERSHIP LECTURES: Governors State University, 1 University Parkway, University Park, presents retired U.S. Army Reserve Brig. Gen. and Tinley Park village clerk Patrick Rea speaking on “Is There a Difference Between Leadership in Military and Corporate Leadership?” at 6:30 p.m. in Engbretson Hall.
