BLOOD PRESSURE TESTING: Crete Public Library District, 1177 N. Main St., (708) 672-8017, hosts this free event at 10 a.m. St. James Manor & Villas conducts free blood pressure screenings on the first Wednesday of the month in the small meeting room. “THE SANDLOT”: Bridge Teen Center, 15555 S. 71st Court, Orland Park, will screen this 1993 film at 3 p.m. for Movie Day. A neighborhood pickup baseball team has to overcome a unique obstacle in this family comedy-drama starring Tom Guiry and Mike Vitar. Rated PG, the film runs for 1 hour and 41 minutes.
