Here are events worth getting out of the house for on July 5.

Suggestions include Park Forest, Palos Heights and Tinley Park.

“SPACE BUDDIES”: Park Forest Public Library, 400 Lakewood Blvd., screens this film for Movie Day at 11 a.m. This third flick in the “Air Buddies” series features five golden retriever puppies with a knack for getting into mischief. Information: (708) 748-3731, pfpl.org.

WHEELIE PARADE: Palos Heights Public Library presents this all-ages, weather-permitting event at 11 a.m. Attendees can decorate their bicycles, tricycles, scooters, wagons or skates and join in a parade at Passarelli Park, 124th Street and Oak Park Avenue, Palos Heights. FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT: Tinley Park Public Library, 7851 Timber Drive, screens “Ice Age: Continental Drift” at 6:30 p.m. The animated adventure comedy features the voice of Southland native Keke Palmer.
