Get Up and Go! for July 10, 2013

Here are events worth getting out of the house for on July 10.

Suggestions include Homewood, Tinley Park and Palos Heights.

ANIMALS FOR AWARENESS: Homewood Public Library, 17917 Dixie Highway, hosts this event at 4 and 5:30 p.m. Attendees can visit with exotic and native animals and learn the best way to care for both. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets will be distributed a half-hour before each showtime on a first-come, first-served basis. AN EVENING WITH REVOLVER: Tinley Park Public Library, 7851 Timber Drive, presents this program at 7 p.m. Beatles author and pop culture historian Robert Rodriguez will share promotional clips, rare photos and unreleased audio of the group at work. MAIN STREET, ILLINOIS: Palos Heights Public Library hosts Peoria resident John Lynn at 7 p.m. at 12501 S. 71st Ave. He will provide a tour through Illinois’ towns and is the only person who has been to all 2,400 of them. Information: palosheightslibrary.org or Mary Johnson at (708) 448-1473.
