STEREOTYPING ISLAM: Orland Park Public Library, 14921 Ravinia Ave., hosts this presentation by the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Chicago. The 7 p.m. program will cover understanding, interpreting and assessing visual and textual information about the Middle East, Islam and Muslims as well as discourses of enmification or vilification.
