The Palos RC Flying Club will host a Giant Scale Air Show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 1 at the Cook County Forest Preserve District Morrill Meadow Flying Field, 107th Street and La Grange Road, near Palos Hills.
Pilots from the entire metro area and beyond will participate. The show features all types and styles of very large RC aircraft.
An assortment of finely detailed aircraft will be on display and many will be flown during the show. Jet-powered model aircraft will also fly in the event.
An RC model cargo plane will make several passes over the field in a “Candy Drop” for the kids.
The Palos RC Flying Club has 125 members. All shows are free to the public.
