Get Up and Go! for Dec. 4, 2013

Here are events worth getting out of the house for on Dec. 4.

Suggestions include Homewood, Orland Park and Palos Hills.

Annual Holiday Kids Crafts: Homewood Public Library will present this all-ages event at 4:30 p.m. at 17917 Dixie Highway. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Information: Youth Services at (708) 798-0121, Ext. 222 or homewoodlibrary.org.

Kiwanis Bingo: Orland Park Civic Center, 14750 Ravinia Ave., hosts this event from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. (4 p.m. doors). An early bird game is set for 6:15 p.m. Information: (708) 341-3161 or orlandparkciviccenter.com.

Holiday Concert: The Moraine Valley Community College Percussion Ensemble performs at 7:30 p.m. in the Dorothy Menker Theater, 9000 W. College Parkway, Palos Hills. The group performs eclectic music on percussion instruments ranging from traditional to unusual. There’s lively music of the Caribbean, rocking percussion grooves, jazz and more. Admission is free.
