Here are events worth getting out of the house for on Dec. 16.

Suggestions include Flossmoor, Chicago Ridge and Tinley Park.

Family Holiday Game Time: Flossmoor Public Library hosts this event for teens and their families from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at 1000 Sterling Ave. There will be crafts, games and more. Christmas Cookie Decorating And Tree Decorating Party: Freedom Activity Center hosts this event from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at 6252 W. Birmingham St., Chicago Ridge. All supplies are included. Participants will take the cookies home. Fee is $10. Information: (708) 636-4900 or chicagoridgeparks.com.

As Seen On Pinterest: Tinley Park Public Library presents this program from 7 to 8 p.m. at 7851 Timber Drive for sixth- to 12th-graders who want to make a holiday gift. The winter craft will feature making snow globes from Mason jars. Information: (708) 532-0160 or tplibrary.org.
