“Skipping Christmas”: Frankfort Public Library District, 21119 S. Pfeiffer Road, hosts the Tuesday with Friends Book Discussion Group from 1 to 2 p.m. This Friends of the Library event features “Skipping Christmas” (Doubleday) by John Grisham. Holiday Party & Potluck: Friends of the Cal-Sag Trail hosts this event at 6 p.m. at the Lake Katherine Nature Center & Botanic Gardens clubhouse, 7402 Lake Katherine Drive, Palos Heights. Participants can learn about the Cal-Sag Trail, discover a role as a trail builder and celebrate the spring construction start. Attendees should bring a dish and their own beverages.
