Orland Grassland Volunteers: The year’s first quarterly meeting is set for 7 p.m. at the Orland Park Civic Center, 14750 Ravinia Ave. Stephen Packard, founding director of Audubon Chicago Region, speaks on restoration and introduces his new blog, Strategies for Stewards: From Woods to Prairies. Other agenda items include Path to Stewardship, a collaboration between the Forest Preserve District of Cook County and key stewards. The meeting also includes the year’s work day priorities, a bicycle trail update, the year’s event dates, and free FPCC calendars featuring photo contest winners.
