Chocoholics!: Chicago Ridge Public Library, 10400 Oxford Ave., hosts this all-chocolate cooking class for ages 18 and older from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Recipes and samples will be provided. “Plainsong”: Orland Park native Tom McGrath is part of the ensemble of the Chicago premiere of this production at Signal Ensemble Theatre, 1802 W. Berenice Ave., Chicago. “Plainsong” is adapted from Kent Haruf’s National Book Award finalist novel by the same name. Previews are at 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday. Opening night is set for 8 p.m. Saturday. Shows will run at 8 p.m. Thursdays to Saturdays and 3 p.m. Sundays from Feb. 6 to March 8. There is also a 7:30 p.m. Feb. 17 show.
