“Smart Phones For Dummies” Luncheon: Mark Walker, development director at the Center, answers questions from “what’s an app?” to more complex questions about the basics of calling, sending messages, taking photographs and accessing email and websites on new smartphones. The program is from noon to 2 p.m. at 12700 Southwest Highway, Palos Park. Questions can be submitted in advance to email@example.com. Mardi Gras Business After Hours: Tinley Park Chamber of Commerce co-presents this event from 5 to 7 p.m. at Together We Cope, 17010 S. Oak Park Ave., Tinley Park. There will be New Orleans-style food and refreshments. In addition to networking, there will be facility tours and door prizes.
