“I Have A Dream: A King’s Journey”: Prairie State College hosts this program from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Conference Center Auditorium on the main campus, 202 S. Halsted St., Chicago Heights. Marcus Gentry, a member of the PSC Professional Speakers Bureau, will present, through dramatization, the story of the people and events that surrounded Martin Luther King Jr.’s life. Attendance is free, but advance reservation is requested at (708) 709-2946 or wberkley@prairiestate.edu. Teachers who attend can earn 1.0 in continuing professional development units. August Wilson’s Gem Of The Ocean: Toastmasters Club presents “Sailing into Collective Memory” about black American life at 6 p.m. at Governors State University’s Center for Performing Arts, 1 University Parkway, University Park. Tickets are $10. Information: centertickets.net or (708) 235-2222.
