Here are events worth getting out of the house for on March 6.
Suggestions include Flossmoor and Chicago Ridge.
Cartooning Workshop: Flossmoor Public Library hosts this program from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Helen Wilson Meeting Room at 1000 Sterling Ave. Chris McBrien will teach the secrets of cartooning and comic animation to sixth- to 12th-graders. Registration is required and limited. McBrien is also a comedian, magician, ventriloquist, mime and handwriting analyst. Information: (708) 798-3600 or flossmoorlibrary.org.
Love Your Wardrobe: Chicago Ridge Public Library presents this event from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at 10400 Oxford Ave. Professional clothing consultant Pat Kwas will show ages 18 and older how to transition from winter to spring with what one has in his or her closet. Attendees can learn how to choose flattering clothing and look great on a budget. Each participant may bring an item he or she can’t part with but don’t wear often, and Kwas will judge if there’s still a chance to wear it. Attendees will be entered into a raffle. Information: (708) 423-7753 or chicagoridge.lib.il.us.
